Leadership

At the helm of our excellence sits a management team made up of superior energy experts with over 70 years combined technical and commercial operations management experience

Samson Onafeko is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of 3F Capital Limited. He provides strategic direction to the business and manages the day-to-day business operations. He identifies, nurtures, and matures strategic opportunities into innovative projects or business; and manages the investment of equity and equity-linked capital into these projects. And he works side by side with C-level executives and business owners to source smart capital and resources for their businesses.

He has over 17 years cognate experience spanning investment banking, technical, commercial, corporate, and business strategy roles across Oil & Gas; Power & Energy related infrastructure. As head, Energy Advisory at Argentil Capital Partners Limited, he successfully managed key oil, gas and power acquisition and divestment transactions of about US $1 billion.

As a Senior Strategy and Portfolio Specialist with Centrica Energy UK, he advised corporate level executives on the upstream business to support organizational designing, portfolio structuring, business strategy and execution. He led a number of key executive initiatives and managed the upstream investment portfolio and the capital allocation process of about £1 billion per annum.

As a Senior Consultant with HIS Energy, he led the techno-financial & governance framework for the Nigerian Gas Master Plan Phase 2. He was a lead advisor Gabon Ministry of Energy on the renewal of licenses operated by Total, Gabon.

He started his career as a reservoir and petroleum engineer with two of the leading multinational oil and gas companies – Total and Exxon Mobil Corporations.

Samson holds an MBA from IE Business School, Madrid, Spain, as well as a Master of Engineering (Meng) in Petroleum Engineering from University of Houston, Texas and BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos.
