Marginal Field Bid Rounds

3F Capital Limited has provided end-to-end advisory support to clients across multiple Nigerian upstream bid rounds, including the 2020 Marginal Field Bid Round and subsequent licensing exercises.

Our support covered the full bid lifecycle, including pre-qualification, technical submissions, commercial bidding, and post-bid engagement.

These bids were delivered by a multidisciplinary team with an average of 15–20+ years' experience gained from oil and gas majors, leading indigenous operators, and reputable oilfield services and equipment companies.

Project: Development of 20mmscfd mini-Liquefied Natural Gas (mini-LNG) facility using flare gas from Obama field in OML 63.

Location: Okoroma, Bayelsa State, Nigeria

Current Status: Ongoing. Funding secured - $60m Afrexim facility has been secured for the project development. Engineering ongoing.

3F Capital Limited has been at the forefront of gas development projects in Nigeria. In 2020, we supported the bids preparation of 5 companies across 9 different flare sites. Unfortunately, the programme was cancelled.

In 2022, the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme was restarted. 3F Capital supported the competitive bids preparation of 5 companies across 16 different flare sites, resulting in the successful award of 9 flare gas to 4 of the 5 companies.

3F Capital is now the project development and fundraising consultant for the projects.
